Brahmanbaria, Oct 4 (UNB) – Train communications on Chattogram-Sylhet route remained suspended since Friday morning following the derailment of a bogie at Akhaura Rail Station.
Setafur Rahman, sub-inspector of Akhaura Railway Police Station, said a bogie of Chattogram-bound ‘Jalalabad Express’ train from Sylhet veered off the tracks around 7:15 am while entering the rail station, halting train movement between Chattogram and Sylhet.
However, no casualty was reported.
Khalilur Rahman, Akhaura Station Master, said the authorities concerned of railway rushed to the spot around 9 am and started working to restore the train communications.
