Operation of all domestic flights will remain suspended from Tuesday midnight until further notice.

The decision of flight suspension was taken to control the transmission of coronavirus, Senior Secretary to Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Mohibul Haque told UNB over phone.

COVID-19 is affecting 195 countries and territories around the world and one international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harboured in Yokohama, Japan).

The World Health Organization on March 11 declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic.

Another person has died from coronavirus in Bangladesh, taking the total death toll to four, said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Tuesday.

Besides, six more people have been diagnosed with coronavirus as the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 39.
