DRU president Rafiqul Islam Azad and its General Secretary Riaz Chowdhury issued a statement in this regard.
“With deep concern, we’ve observed that owners of some media outlets laid off their employees or sent them on forced leave though the government urged them to be humane during the coronavirus pandemic,” they said, describing the treatment as unacceptable and reprehensive.
