The water of Dudhkumar river of Kurigram was flowing 18 cm above the danger level at Pateshwari point on Thursday.
Besides, the water level of all the rivers including Brahmaputra, Dharala and Teesta were witnessing a steady rise in water levels. However, the water of these rivers is still flowing below the danger level.

The rising in water is inundating low-lying areas of river basins and newly emerged char areas. The roads in these areas have been submerged, causing severe sufferings.
Kurigram Water Development Board office said that the Brahmaputra river was flowing below the danger level of 72 cm at Chilmari point and the Dharala river was flowing below the danger level of 18 cm at sadar point.
Abdullah Al Mamun, executive engineer of Kurigram Water Development Board, said the water level of the rivers may continue to rise further till July 17 due to heavy rainfall in the upstream.
