Former secretary M Bazlul Karim Chowdhury died from coronavirus at Mugda General Hospital in the capital on Sunday morning.
He was undergoing treatment at the hospital after he got infected with coronavirus and breathed his last around 11:40am, said Mesbah Uddin, general secretary of Officer’s club, in a condolence message.
He was an admin cadre official of 1985 batch of Bangladesh Civil Services (BCS).
Bazlul Karim had served as deputy commissioner of Tangail, Rajuk Chairman and Dhaka divisional commissioner (PRL).
