A farmer died after being electrocuted while trying to connect a fan of his cow shed in Khoksa upazila of Kushtia.
Palash Sheikh, 50, was electrocuted at his house in Buzrukh Mirzapur village of Shomspur union around 4:00 pm on Monday.

Shahana Khatun, wife of the deceased, said her husband was working with masons in their house at the time of the incident.
In the afternoon, Palash tried to provide electricity connection from his bedroom to the fan of the cow shed. At this point, he was electrocuted. He was taken to the emergency department of the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, she added.

Dr Ayesha Siddika Asha of the health complex said, Palash was brought dead to the emergency department of the hospital.
Confirming the matter, Khoksa Police Station OC (Investigation) Gautam Thakur said a case of unnatural death will be registered at the police station.
