A fire which broke out at a slum in Firingi Bazar area of Chattogram port city on Monday afternoon has been brought under control.
Dinmoni Sharma, deputy director of Fire Service and Civil Defense said the fire broke out at the slum around 1:30 pm.
On information, nine firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3 pm.

However, no casualty was reported and the extent of the damages caused by fire could not be ascertained yet.
