A massive fire that broke out at an office of ‘SA Paribahan’ in the capital's Kakrail area was extinguished on Monday afternoon, around four hours after the fire incident.
Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell, confirmed the development saying that the blaze was brought under control around 10:58 am.
He said their 12 firefighting units from several stations finally extinguished the blaze around 2:30pm.

Earlier, the fire started at the SA Paribahan’s Parcel and Courier Service office at 10:10 am. On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot.
No casualties were reported, said the officer, adding that the cause of the fire and extent of damages will be known upon investigation.
