A massive fire that broke out in a 4-storey building in the capital's Kakrail area on Monday morning has been brought under control.
“The fire started at the SA Paribahan’s Parcel and Courier Service office at 10:10 am. On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 11 am,”said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell.

The exact cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said.
No casualties were reported, said the officer, adding that the extent of damages is yet to be ascertained.
