Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has expressed deep shock at the demise of journalist and columnist Robert Fisk.
“The writings of Robert Fisk on the issues of the Middle-East were fact-based, objective and they reflect the reality in the Middle-East. His understanding was clear and he will be remembered as a great journalist," Momen said in a message on Wednesday.
Veteran journalist Fisk, one of the best-known Middle-East correspondents who spent his career reporting from the troubled region and won accolades for challenging mainstream narratives died on Sunday at a hospital in Dublin, shortly after he was taken there after falling ill at his home in the Irish capital.
The London Independent, where he had worked since 1989, described him as the most celebrated journalist of his era.
