Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin called for stronger collaboration with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT ) to sustain the country’s development momentum.
The Foreign Secretary came up with the remark while talking to reporters after a meeting with a delegation of UNCT, led by UN Resident Coordinator Gwyn Lewis.
The delegation included UNCT comprised heads and representatives of various UN agencies operating in Bangladesh including UNHCR, IOM, UN Women, UNFPA, UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, UNIDO, UNODC, IFAD, UNOPS, WHO, WFP, UNDP and ILO.

During the meeting, it focused on strategic priority areas under which the UNCT operates in Bangladesh, including Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Development, Equitable Human Development, a Sustainable, Healthy, and Resilient Environment, Inclusive Governance and Gender Equality.
The meeting also addressed collaborative responses to the Rohingya crisis.
