Former FIFA referee and the Deputy Chairman of the Bangladesh Football Federation's Referees' Committee, Hazi M Ibrahim Nesar, passed away in Dhaka early Monday. He was 62.

Nesar took his last breath at 3:15 am on Monday while undergoing treatment at the Lab Aid Hospital in Dhaka's Dhanmondi.

He left behind a son, a daughter, and a large number of admirers to mourn his death.
The first namaz-e-janaza of Ibrahim Nesar was held at the BFF office in Motijheel and he was buried after the second janaza at his Ganderia residence in the city.
Ibrahim Nesar, who enlisted as a FIFA referee in 1999, conducted 30 international football matches in different countries before his retirement in 2007.

He was elected vice chairman of the BFF referees committee in 2017 and continued the job until his death.
Meanwhile, the BFF condoled the death of Ibrahim Nesar and expressed their sympathy to his family members.
