Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four accused in a murder case from Dhaka’s Keraniganj and Gazipur areas on Monday night.
The arrestees are Hiru Sardar, 40, Babu Sardar, 35, and Alamgir Sardar, 45, Mukta Begum,35.
Shihab Karim, senior assistant director of the RAB-2, said there had been a dispute between the accused and one Kala Chan over ownership of a piece of land.

On January 16 this year, the accused attacked the house of the victim, he said.
They beat him up mercilessly while he was returning home from a local union parishad member’s house after lodging complaints in this regard.
Later, locals rescued him and sent to Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, the RAB officer said.

The victim’s wife filed the murder case naming eight accused and four to five unnamed with the police station.
Following the case, the elite force conducted drives in Keraniganj and Gazipur to arrest them, he said, adding that the the arrestees were handed over to the police station concerned.
