Fuel traders and other concerned on Wednesday staged a demonstration in Sylhet city protesting the ‘inadequate supply of fuel and gas in Sylhet for a long time’.
Owners and workers of five organizations, including Sylhet Divisional Petrol Pump CNG-LPG and Tank-Lorry Owners-Workers Unity Council, took to the streets with 300 tank-lorries at noon to press home their six-point demand.
Gas connection of any CNG filling station cannot be disconnected by Sylhet Division Jalalabad Gas, otherwise, all CNG stations in Sylhet division will be shut, they threatened.

Increasing gas load, ensuring adequate supply of petrol, octane, and diesel were among their demands.
President of Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners’ Association Amiruzzaman Chowdhury and Sylhet Divisional CNG, Petrol Pump, LPG, Convener of Truck-Lorry Owners’ Workers Unity Council Sirajul Isram Ahmed Alamgir were present.
