Dhaka, June 30 (UNB) - Visiting Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed paid courtesy calls on Central African Republic (CAR) Defence Adviser Thomas Theophile Tchimangoua and its Army Chief Mamadou Zephirin on Saturday.
After exchanging mutual good wishes, both the Defence Adviser and the Army Chief urged the Bangladesh Army Chief to provide training to the newly formed army of the CAR.
The Bangladesh Army Chief accepted the proposal with utmost sincerity and immediately instructed Bangladesh Medical Contingent, which has been working in UN peacekeeping mission there, to provide training, said an ISPR release here on Sunday.
At that time, General Aziz Ahmed invited both of them to visit Bangladesh to see the activities of Bangladesh Army.
He also offered personal and group training support to the army officers and other ranking officers of the CAR alongside supporting English language training.
