The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Saturday decided to keep its office closed for ensuring security to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The decision was taken in an emergency syndicate meeting held at the university with IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari in the chair.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told UNB that all the offices would remain closed from Sunday to March 31 due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
IU pro vice chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, acting registrar SM Abdul Latif, syndicate member Professor M Mahbubar Rahman among others were present in the meeting.
