The election to the executive body of Shapla Forum, an Awami League-backed progressive teachers' alliance of Islamic University, will be held on the campus in Kushtia on Saturday.
The election would be held at the Momotaz Building of the university from 9:30am to 12:30pm, Shapla Forum election commissioner Professor Sarwar Murshed said on Friday.

A total of 30 candidates would contest for 15 posts including president and secretary in the election.
All sorts of necessary preparations have already been taken to hold the election in a peaceful atmosphere, Sarwar Murshed said.
