A lawyer died on Thursday when a battery-run easybike hit him at Doulatdiar area of Chuadanga Sadar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Monzur Hossain Monju of Daulatdiar village under Alokdia union of the upazila. He was lawyer at Chuadanga District Judge's Court.

The incident happened in front of BADC Fertilizer Warehouse on the Chuadanga-Meherpur road in the early hours of Thursday.
Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman Kajal said Monzur was returning home after offering Fajr prayers when he was hit by the easybike.

Later, he was rescued by the locals and taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
However, the duty doctor advised to send him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment. He died on the way to Rajshahi, said OC Kajal.
