Although the labour-intensive apparel sector is at a high risk of a coronavirus outbreak, a number of factories were reopened recently, triggering criticism from health experts.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque argued that the country might lose its share in the global market if the sector remains closed for too long. He stressed that the factories must operated while strictly maintaining health rules.

Recently, police allowed restaurants to sell Iftar items during Ramadan on condition that social distancing and health rules are maintained.
