Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no. 3 as a low pressure area has formed over the north-west of the Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coast.
It now lies over the same area as a well-marked low, said a special bulletin of the Met office.

It is likely to intensify further and under its influence squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
All fishing boats and trawlers over Noth Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
