DNCC also sprayed disinfectant in around 120 million square feet areas until Thursday and still continuing the process, said a press release.
A total of 324,549 families received necessary food items from the DNCC fund and relief provided by the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry.
Besides, Mayor Atiqul Islam also distributed aid among 65,000 families. DNCC ward councillors distributed relief assistance among 96,130 families while public representatives and volunteers provided relief to 14,941 families.
“DNCC will continue relief distribution among the affected people,” the press release said.

Disinfectant was also spread on Thursday at different roads, footpaths, foot over bridges, hospitals and open places under DNCC as part of regular work.
Meanwhile, the health authorities confirmed the detection of record 2,029 new patients in the last 24 hours, raising the total cases to 40,321. Fifteen more people died from coronavirus during this period, taking the death tally to 559.
