The President said Bangladesh's relationship with the United States and Ethiopia is excellent.
Bangladesh has ample opportunities to increase trade and investment with both countries. As a single country, the United States is Bangladesh's largest export destination, he said.
Hamid said a new government would take office in the United States next year. He hoped that the existing relations between the two countries would reach new heights during the new government.
Mentioning Ethiopia's history and heritage as a very old and rich one, the President said there is an opportunity for Bangladesh to increase its economic relations with Ethiopia.
The President advised the newly-appointed ambassadors to make all out efforts to expand trade and investment with the two countries.
He wished the ambassadors success.
The newly-appointed ambassadors also sought the overall cooperation and guidance of the President.
