Dhaka, Jan 8 (UNB) – New Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun took office on Tuesday with promises of hard work and zero tolerance against corruption.
He was greeted by his predecessor Amir Hossain Amu at a programme at the ministry. A documentary on the successes and challenges of the ministry was screened there.
Amu said he hoped Humayun would do well at the helm of the ministry. Humayun also heaped praise on his predecessor.
“It’s a big ministry. There are lots of works to do and the people expect more from this ministry,” the new minister said.
“I hope that we will be able to implement government’s commitment of Zero tolerance against corruption,” he said.
