In every 10 minutes, one child is killed by the Israelis in Palestine, said Yousef SY Ramadan, ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bangladesh on Wednesday.
"It is nothing but an international failure. In every 10 minutes, one child is killed in Palestine. The UN said Gaza is a graveyard of children. Those are not numbers; we are people. We have a dream, but Israel was given a licence to kill Palestinians by the Western world," he said.
The Palestine ambassador was speaking at a seminar on the "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" organised by United Nations Association of Bangladesh (UNAB) at Hotel Lake Castle in Dhaka.
Begum Majeda Shawkat Ali, vice president of UNAB, chaired the programme.
Professor Delwar Hossain, member of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, was the keynote speaker at the programme.

"Israel is now playing the victim card. They just want to attract people's emotions. But I'm the example of a family that lost everything for those Zionists. I was born as a refugee, I'm living as a refugee, and I'll die as a refugee, but Gaza will only be under their control if there are no more Palestinians living on that land," the Palestine ambassador also said.
Md Emdadul Islam Chowdhury, director general (UN), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and ambassadors of different countries attended the programme, among others.
