Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for New Delhi on Saturday morning to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as the prime minister of India for a third consecutive term.
A Biman Bangladesh airlines flight carrying the prime minister and her entourage members will depart the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10am, as per the official schedule.
The flight is scheduled to land at Palam Air Force Station, the VVIP airport in New Delhi at 12pm (local time).
The Prime Minister will be received by a high-level Indian degation and Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Md. Mustafizur Rahman at the airport.
During her stay in New Delhi, the prime minister will hold a tete-a-tete with her Indian counterpart Modi after joining the swearing-in at Rashtrapati Bhaban at 7:20pm on Sunday
Later, she will attend the state dinner hosted by the Indian president.
The Bangladesh premier will attend various programme after arriving in New Delhi on Sunday, according to her programme.
She will leave New Delhi for home on Sunday and she is scheduled to reach Dhaka at 8pm.
Earlier on Wednesday, Modi invited his Bangladeshi counterpart to attend the swearing-in ceremony of his government during a conversation over telephone. Sheikh Hasina accepted the invitation.
Modi is likely to take oath on June 9 evening as the BJP-led NDA secured 293 seats while the opposition INDIA bloc won 234 seats in the 18th Lok Sabha elections. The otah-taking ceremoney was earlier scheduled to be held on June 8 morning.
Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal are also set to attend the function, which is expected to be witnessed by over 8,000 dignitaries.
