The Power Division managed to fully implement its revised annual development programme (RADP) for the recently concluded 2022-23 fiscal.
This was informed by the officials at a virtual meeting of the Power Division on "Implementation Progress Review of Power Division Development Projects from July 2022 to June 2023" on Sunday.
The allocation against 71 projects under the ADP for FY23, following a revision, was Tk 28,319.72 crore, while the Power Division spent Tk 28,400.30 crore. Implementation is measured by disbursal of funds earmarked for each project under the ADP. Power Division managed to actually overshoot the allocation.

Appreciating the achievement, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid urged the officials of his ministry and subordinate bodies to continue their efforts to continue the success while addressing a virtual meeting at the Power Division.
He said that the quality of customer service should be increased by taking quick decisions. Team initiative and supervision should be strengthened to expedite the implementation of projects.
He said that 100 percent implementation of RADP in the present context is quite good and its continuity should be desired.

“Customer satisfaction is our main goal. It is necessary to increase communication with customers through a planned programme," Hamid said.
The financial progress rate is 100.28 percent while progress as per ceiling is 101.58 percent and physical progress is 100 percent. Financial progress was 101.90 percent in FY 2021-2022.
Senior secretary of Power Division Md Habibur Rahman, chairman of Bangladesh Power Development (BPDB) Md. Mahbubur Rahman, chairman of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) Mohammad Salim Uddin and DG of Power Cell Mohammad Hossain attended the virtual meeting.
