Dhaka, Dec 13 (UNB)- All European Bangladesh Association (AEBA), a platform of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Europe on Thursday urged all the political parties to preserve the interests of expatriates in their election manifestos for the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.
General secretary of AEBA, Kazi Enayet Ullah came up with the demand in a press briefing at their office in Paris while he also sought 10 reserved seats in the parliament for the expatriate community for their welfare.
He also suggested that the minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry should come from among the expatriates.
“Only patriotic expatriates can decorate the ministry properly,” he said.
Terming expatriates as remittance warriors, Enayet Ullah asked the political parties to put emphasis on creating positive environment for investment by expatriates in their political manifesto.
