The Met Office has predicted rain or thunder showers in parts of the country over 24 hours starting from 6 pm on Thursday.
“Rain or thunder shower accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places.” said the Met Office bulletin.
Day temperature may fall by (1-2)°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, according to the bulletin.
The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius in Rangamati of Chattogram division while the highest temperature was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi's Sadar upazila.
The weather office recorded the highest 36 mm rainfall in Chattogram's Sandwip.
Meanwhile, a trough of westerly low lies over India’s West Bengal and adjoining area of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
