A student of United International University was killed and over 200 other students of different universities were injured including one critically in clashes with police over quota reform protests in Badda of the capital on Thursday.
Dr Arman, emergency medical officer of AMZ Hospital in Badda, said the student was brought dead at the hospital.
There were multiple bullet injuries on his chest, he said.
Besides, over 200 students of Brac University, AIUB and Canadian University received treatment in the morning, he said.
One of the injured, who had severe head injury, was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said the medical officer.
Fiver are still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Abu Syeed, medical officer of Ibne Sina Hospital , said 50 injured students received treatment at the hospital today.
One of them was referred to DMCH and another to Eye Hospital, he said.
