The minister came up with the directive in a discussion programme at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium in the city.
The minister told BCSCL to plan according to the advice of specialists to make the proposed Bangabandhu Satellite-2 flawless, unified and useful.
Plans should be made on short-term, mid-term and long-term considering the conclusion of 15-years life-span of Bangabandhu-1, he said adding that “We should consider other things like defense, meteorology, agriculture and health which should be attached in the Bangabandhu 2 satellite.”
“We have to march ahead by utilizing the experience of launching Bangabandhu 1 and our key strength is the ability of our young generation to achieve skills in satellite operation,” he said.
