Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will procure lentils and edible oil for its open market sale (OMS) in Ramadan.
As per a decision, approved by Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase in its meeting on Wednesday, the TCB will buy 10,000 metric tons (MT) of lentils and a total of 1.60 crore litres of soybean and rice bran oil.

The Ministry of Commerce moved three separate proposals on behalf of its subsidiary body TCB.
Of the products, the TCB will procure 10,000 MT of lentil through open tender method (OTM) from Senakalyan Sangtha at a cost of Tk 102.75 crore with each kg price at Tk 102.75.
First consignment of Indian onion being handed over to dealers
It will buy 1.10 crore litres of soybean oil through OTM from City Edible Oil Company Ltd at a cost of Tk 168.27 crore with per litre price at Tk 152.98.
The remaining 50 lakh litres of rice bran oil will be procured by the TCB from Majumder Product Ltd at a cost of Tk 76 crore with per litre price at Tk 152.
