Trade activities at the Sonamasjid Land Port in Chapainawabganj resumed on Tuesday after a six-day suspension due to Durga Puja celebrations.
Alimuzzaman, an official from the Bangladesh Land Port Authority stationed at the port, confirmed the resumption of operations.

According to the official, the trades halt between Bangladesh and India began on October 9 and continued until October 14 in observance of the Durga Puja festival.
With the festival over, regular import-export activities have recommenced, with Indian trucks entering the port carrying imported goods.
