Two minor children drowned in a canal in Kamarkathi village of Sarupkathi upazila on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Md Saimun, 5, son of Delwar Mia and Munni, 6, daughter of Ruhul Amin of Kamarkathi village.
Victim’s relatives said the duo were playing beside the canal at noon while they fell into it.
Later, locals spotted their bodies floating on the water.
Dr Imran Hossain, duty officer of Sarupkathi Upazila Health Complex said the child were already death when they were brought to the hospital.
