A fire that broke out in an under-construction building in Dhaka’s Banani on Thursday afternoon has been doused after 40 minutes.
The fire started in the building located on Road 4 of Block-F in Chairman Bari area around 2:40 pm on Thursday, said Rozina Parvin, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.On information, three firefighting units rushed to the spot. Only one firefighting engine, however, managed to douse the flame at around 3:20 pm, she added.
The fire originated on the ground floor of the under-construction multi-storey building due to an electric short circuit.
No casualty was reported in the incident, the officer added.
