In the third phase of Union Parishad (UP) elections, voting started at 15 unions of Bagatipara and Lalpur upazilas of Natore district.
The balloting began in 142 centres simultaneously at 8 am on Sunday. Of the centres, 30 have been identified as risky ones.

Although most of the centres were found crowded with voters standing in long queues, some were almost empty during the first hours of the voting.
Sixty-seven people are contesting the elections in 15 unions for the post of chairman while 605 for that of general member. Some 170 candidates are also there in the election race for the post of reserved women member.
