Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Awami League President is coming to Narayanganj on Thursday to address the last public rally of the election campaign ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections to be held on January 07.
The public rally will be held at Shamsuzzoha Sports Complex at Masdair in Fatullah at 2:30 pm on Thursday.
District and metropolitan Awami League has completed all the arrangements for the election rally standing in a one queue and forgetting all the long-standing conflicts and differences. Huge enthusiasm is prevailing among the leaders and activists of Narayanganj marking the arrival of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Arrangements are going on in full swing in Narayanganj around the arrival of the Prime Minister. Everyone looks busy to welcome the prime minister. Narayanganj's Link Road and the surrounding areas of the public rally venue have been covered with festoons, posters and banners.
Meanwhile, Shamsuzzoha Sports Complex is being decorated on the occasion of the prime minister’s public rally. Separate areas for men and women have been arranged for the rally. At the same time, loudspeakers have been installed on various electric poles in the city outside the public rally ground. The streets have been cleaned and the whole city has been decorated with posters of the public rally.
While this reporter visited the rally spot, District Awami League President Abdul Hai, Narayanganj-4 MP AKM Shamim Osman, Narayanganj-2 MP Nazrul Islam Babu were seen at the rally ground.
At that time Shamim Osman said that It is the expectation of all that the prime minister will give a new message for the people of Narayanganj on the occasion of the 12th parliamentary election on January 7.
Being optimistic that this rally will be the biggest ever rally in Narayanganj, he said, "As Narayanganj is the birthplace of Awami League, it has a lot of expectations from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
