Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said BNP is fighting for the destruction of democracy.
“Awami League wants peace. If there was unrest, BNP could not have held a single rally by now. However, if you want to disturb the peace on October 28, this time it will not be spared,” Quader said, at a special extended meeting of the Metropolitan South Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting was held to make the peace and development Rally a success on October 28.
In the meeting, Quader said, “There is no movement with a fixed date. No movement has succeeded in any country in the world by announcing a date. Even in our country, the movements of '69 and '90 did not come with a date. Due to the wrong path, the BNP movement will fall into the pit this time.”
