The BNP team went to Kader Siddiqui’s Mohammadpur house around 9pm and disused various issues relating to politics for over one and a half hours.
The other members of the BNP team include party vice chairmen Barkatullah Bulu, Mohammad Shahjahan, Shamsuzzaman Dudu and organising secretary Imran Saleh Prince.
Talking to UNB, Mohammad Shahjahan said it was a courtesy call with the KSJL president and discussed the country’s latest political situation and Oikyafront’s activities.
Asked whether they invited Kader Siddiqui to join Oikyafront, he said they had discussions over the issue, but the KSJL president said he will inform his final decision about it on Monday.
Earlier in the evening, Kader Siddiqui was supposed to come up with the announcement of joining the Oikyafront at a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in presence of Dr Kamal Hossain, but he sought another day to take the final decision in this regard.
Kamal Hossain said he hoped that Kader Siddiqui will be there with Oikyafront with the goal of building the country as dreamt by freedom fighters.
