BNP's ‘arson terrorism’ must be stopped: Information Minister
Dhaka, July 29 (UNB) - BNP’s conspiracy to give the country's land and property to people outside the country and its “arson terrorism” should be stopped, said Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday.
He said that the people of the country will resist them.
The minister made the comment while presenting the “Rising Youth Award” organised by The Youth Global Foundation at The BanglaDesh-KIB Complex in the capital on Saturday evening. Foundation President Dr Sima Hamid and General Secretary Antu Karim also spoke on the occasion.
"BNP leaders have become upset by failing to create chaos in the name of a rally on Friday. That's why they engaged in arson attacks again on Saturday. They clashed, burnt buses, set people's property on fire,” said the minister.
"This evil force wants to give the country’s oil and gas to outsiders," he said.
He said that the way people liberated the country in 1971 they will again resist the anti-liberation forces that had killed people during the war.
“Even today, people will resist those who want to hand over the country's wealth and land (to the outsiders),” Hasan added.
“The buses that BNP burnt on Saturday were privately owned. People who bought buses with a lot of hard work, many dreams, they have burnt. But those people have committed no crime,” he said.
