The security and democracy of the country are not safe in the hands of the BNP, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Saturday.
“People's lives are not safe from dengue while the country’s security and democracy are not safe in the hands of the BNP. So, we have to prevent these two main dangerous enemies, dengue and BNP,” he said.

Obaidul Quader was addressing a public awareness programme to prevent dengue in the capital’s Rabindra Sarobar of Dhanmondi, arranged by the Awami League's health and population subcommittee.
Besides, he urged authorities concerned as well as party leaders and activists to carry out dengue prevention programmes across the country.
Replying to a question, AL leader said that BNP is looking at the United States of America in the hope of when it will give sanctions and visa policy. But, the power of its (BNP) eyes has decreased by looking at them and now BNP can see nothing. On the other hand, Awami League is looking at the people of the country, he added.
