Dhaka, Dec 19 (UNB) – BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Enam Ahmed Chowdhury joined Awami League on Wednesday.
He met Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban in the evening and joined her party, said PM’s deputy press secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan.
Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, former chairman of the Privatization Commission, sought BNP’s nomination for contesting the forthcoming general election from Sylhet-1 constituency.
However, the party chose BNP chief’s another adviser Khandaker Abdul Muktadir over him for the parliamentary seat.
