Party vice chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has been made convener of the new committee while agronomist Hasan Zafir Tuhin its member secretary, said a party press release on Wednesday.
The convening committee has been asked to form a full-fledged one within three months through holding a council.
On May 16, 1998, the pervious committee of Krishak Dal was formed making late Mahbubul Alam Tara and Shamsuzzaman Dudu its president and general secretary respectively.
As Tara joined Awami League, Mojibur Rahman made the president of it. After the death of Mojibur Rahman, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was appointed the president of Krishak Dal.
