Jatiya Party chairman Ghulam Muhammad Quader on Monday said that the people of Bangladesh are anxious about the acceptability of the next general election to them.
“There is an apprehension in the people on whether the election will occur at the proper time and in the proper way. They are worried about the acceptance of the election,” he said.
The Jatiya Party leader said this while addressing a discussion meeting on the occasion of "Upazila System Introduction Day" at Jatiya Party Chairman's office auditorium in Banani.

GM Quader said the upcoming election is the priority to the people and they are worried about what will happen in the upcoming days.
Mentioning that the USA didn’t invite Bangladesh to the two Democracy Summits it hosted earlier, GM Quader said, “A recent survey among 129 countries conducted by Germany revealed that there are 48 countries where an autocratic government is in power.”
The survey marked the governments of five countries - Bangladesh, Lebanon, Mozambique, Nicaragua and Uganda - as 'newly autocratic', he added.

GM Quader said, “The spirit of the Liberation War has been destroyed in the name of the Liberation War. The Awami League has destroyed the spirit of the Liberation War.”
