Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bat first in their first Super Four match of the Asia Cup against Pakistan in Lahore.
Bangladesh, the number seven ODI team in the ICC Ranking, came to this match with their one win and one defeat in the group phase of the event.

In contrast, Pakistan, who are currently the number one ODI side in the world, won one match against Nepal, and their other group match was washed away against India.
One change to their playing XI was inevitable for Bangladesh as the top-order batter Nahjmul Hossain Shanto was ruled out with a hamstring injury, to replace him, Bangladesh added Litton Das.
Bangladesh are surely going to miss the service of Shanto, especially considering his performance in the Asia Cup. In his last two innings, Shanto scored 89 and a century.

Litton was earlier unable to travel with the team due to a fever. But he has now recovered fully and joined the team.
