The three-match T20I series between touring Bangladesh and hosts USA has become uncertain following a major storm that ripped through US city of Houston, the hosts of the matches, last Thursday.
Bangladesh national cricket team reached the US city of Houston amid huge rain and natural disaster Friday morning to play a three-match preparatory series with USA to adjust with the local conditions ahead of the next- month's T20 World Cup engagements in USA and West Indies.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play three T20 matches against USA on May 21, 23 and 25 in Houston, now in doubt as the majority of the temporary infrastructure recently installed at the match venue, Prairie View Cricket Complex, has been destroyed.
.CNN reported that seven people were found dead following the effect of hurricane and natural disaster in Houston.
Some nine lacs homes of Houston city have no electricity connection as of Friday.
However, Bangladesh will also play two more official practice matches ahead of the World Cup.
The Tigers will start their main World Cup campaign taking on Sri Lanka in a group match on June 8 in Dallas, also in Texas.
Their second World Cup group match will be against South Africa in New York on June 10.
The team will then travel to the West Indies to play their remaining two group matches against Netherlands and Nepal on June 13 and 17 respectively.
