Ebadot Hossain's prospects of joining the Asia Cup hangs in the balance due to a lingering leg injury. The right-arm pacer has been grappling with this ailment since the ODI series against Afghanistan.
Minhajul Abedin, the chief selector of Bangladesh, stated that Ebadot is still awaiting the green light from the team physio to commence bowling in practice sessions.
"We are presently awaiting the physiotherapist's assessment concerning Ebadot's involvement in the forthcoming Asia Cup," Minhajul informed the media. "Should he be unable to participate, we may consider replacing him with either Khaled Ahmed or Tanzim Hasan Sakib."
Ebadot finds himself in the 17-member Bangladesh squad designated for the Asia Cup, set to unfold across Sri Lanka and Pakistan. However, the injury has impeded his commencement of bowling preparations.

The duration required for his recuperation and subsequent readiness to begin bowling anew remains unclear.

This series will serve as the final preparation for Bangladesh in the lead-up to the upcoming World Cup.
