Two arch rivals --Bangladesh and India --will lock horns with each other in the final match of the four-nation SAFF U-16 Women's Championship 2024 in Nepal on Sunday (March 10).
The title deciding match between two neighboring countries will kick-off on Sunday (March 10) at 3:15 pm Bangladesh time at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, near Kathmandu.
Ahead of the Sunday's final, Bangladesh U-16 women's team made their final practice session at the ANFA complex in Lalitpur on Saturday from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.
Bangladesh head coach AKM Saiful Bari Titu and captain Arpita Biswas also addressed a pre-match press conference Saturday morning and took part in the team's official photo session.
Addressing the press conference, Bangladesh coach Saiful Bari Titu said, "we played each other earlier, we have an idea about our opponents, but the final is a game of nerve and pressure, so the team which will do less mistake, they will win the match"
Bangladesh smartly reached the final with an all win record securing full nine points from straight three matches, beating hosts Nepal 2-0, outplaying India 3-1 and crushed Bhutan by 6-0 goals in the league basis matches.
On the other hand, India made a final berth securing six points from three matches, beating Bhutan 7-0, ouplayed hosts Nepal 10-0 after conceding 1-3 goals defeat against league leader Bangladesh.
Earlier, Nepal and Bhutan were eliminated from the four- nation regional meet.
