BFF and SAFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin informed this to reporters during a contract signing ceremony on Tuesday.
BFF boss Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin and Dhaka Bank Chairman Reshadur Rahman signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the contract, the BFF will bring some 45 booters under its payroll in different categories and will take positive initiative to develop the country’s present youthful national women’s football team as a physically strong and well-mature side.
“Our different age group women’s teams are doing well in recent days, and they need another 3-4 years to be a physically strong and mature national team and I welcome Dhaka Bank to stand by our side to achieve the target,” Salahuddin said.
Apart from the monthly salary, the women booters will be given proper education, food, clothes and other necessary equipment.
Replying to a question about the arrangement of women’s football league and tournaments, the BFF chief said, “We’re trying out best, but received no positive response from sufficient clubs and districts.”
Vice-captain of National Women’s Football team Mishrat Jahan Moushumi, Chairman of the Dhaka Bank Ltd Reshadur Rahman, Chairperson of the BFF women’s wing Muhfuza Akhter Kiron and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag also spoke on the occasion where former Dhaka Bank chairman ATM Hayetuzzaman Khan and Managing Director and CEO of Dhaka Bank Syed Mahbubur Rahman were also present.
