"The Yemen war has had no achievements, but destruction, death, hatred and threats to the territorial integrity of the country," Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi Abdullah in Tehran.
"Unfortunately, despite their pretense, Europe and the United States are not interested in the restoration of peace to Yemen, as they have been able to sell arms (to some regional countries) under the pretext of war in the Arab state," he was quoted as saying.
Rouhani called for a collective cooperation of the countries to end war and restore peace to Yemen.
For his part, the Omani foreign minister expressed "optimism" that the crisis in Yemen will be settled.
He also expressed confidence that Iran will spare no effort in this regard given its regional standing and responsibility.
In another meeting with the visiting official on Monday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that the cease-fire must be implemented in Yemen before addressing other issues in the Arab state.
