The Turkish health minister on Tuesday reported 3,892 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 34,109.
Meanwhile, the deaths from the coronavirus have reached 725 after 76 new ones were registered, Fahrettin Koca said at a press conference.
Turkey conducted a total of 20,023 tests in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to 222,868, the minister noted.
In addition, 1,582 patients have recovered from the viral respiratory disease, while 1,424 are still being treated at the intensive care units, and 987 intubated, according to Koca.
Turkey has started to build two new hospitals to fight the coronavirus outbreak, he stated.
